Background

Mitch Winehouse believes Lady GaGa would be perfect for the lead role in a biopic of his daughter's life.

Rumours of a movie about Amy's rise to fame and tragic demise have been swirling since her death.

Just last week, British director Reg Traviss revealed he had been approached with regards to a film about his girlfriend.

As Reg pointed out, anyone wishing to take on the project would need the approval of the Winehouse family, and if Mitch has his way GaGa will take the lead.

Speaking to The Sunday Mirror, the former cabbie said: "I have heard that Lady GaGa is keen to play Amy in a film.
