Background

I predict that he will resign in discredited disgrace before the fall of 2012. Like my previous prediction, that is based not just on where we are now, but where we are going under his misleadership.

CAUTION: "none of these" does not mean "someone else"

Japan’s Prime Minister Naoto Kan said he’s willing to step down and pass responsibility to a younger generation once his work is accomplished. Kan, who spoke today in a meeting of the Democratic Party of Japan, has said he wants to finish his work helping the country recover from the March 11 earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disaster.

Great Question kruijs!!

It surprises me a little... However, i think that despite the legalities, which to me, assuming that the above can be verified beyond someone's word, that this kind of thing happens ALL the time.. (not so blatant as the Illinois senator situation...), but nonetheless, this is called "political influence", and allows people to use their power all the time... GW Bush made 1000s of appointments based upon contributions to his campaign.. and he is not alone in this, republican and democrats; they all do it...

Yes, it is a form of corruption... but this is why people run so hard for office, as there are these "perks"...
