The third Test at Edgbaston ended in a draw after the final day's play was abandoned without a ball being bowled.

Rain delayed the start and the umpires called it off at 14:10 BST with no sign of an improvement in the weather.

The match, which lost the first two days because of rain, was destined for a draw anyway after day four finished with England 221-5 in reply to 426.

England had already sealed the series after wins at Lord's and Trent Bridge
