Usually, when you hear stories about Jenna Jameson not keeping her hands to herself, she's just doing her job. Not this time.

The famed porn star was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor battery Saturday evening around 7:50 p.m. PT in a private home in Balboa Beach, California, the Newport Beach Police Department confirms to omg!.

Jameson was celebrating her 39th birthday a little early (April 9 is her actual birthday) when she got into a tussle with the victim, who then placed her under citizen's arrest until the cops arrived. Thankfully, the unnamed victim required "no medical treatment," according to Newport Beach police Lt. Evan Sailor.

The actress was released from police custody and given a date to appear in court, Lt. Sailor confirmed. Whether or not charges will be filed is "up to the D.A.'s office," he said.

She was expected to appear at Heat Ultra Lounge in Anaheim, California, for her "official" birthday party later Saturday evening. The club has yet to return omg!'s request for comment, and its Facebook page has not been updated to reflect whether or not she managed to show up.

Jameson's last bout of trouble with the law was less than a year ago when she was arrested for a DUI in May. She was booked, cited, and later released.
