Affleck, 41, will star opposite Henry Cavill's Superman in the as-yet-untitled film, which was unveiled in July at Comic-Con. It's a sequel to this summer's Man of Steel, a re-imagining of the superhero's origin story that also starred Cavill and has pulled in more than $650 million worldwide since its June release, according to The Wrap.

Orlando Bloom may soon be donning the Batsuit for the upcoming follow-up to "Man of Steel."
According to the Daily Express, the actor is considered a "hot favorite" for the role of Batman in the movie. The project was announced at this year's Comic-Con in San Diego and talk of who who will play the caped crusader in the film has continued to grow.
"Man of Steel's" Henry Cavill has already been cast as Superman in the Warner Bros. movie. Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburn and Diane Lane are confirmed to be returning as well, MTV reports.
The Express reports that a senior source at Warner Bros. confirmed that Bloom was a top choice for the part.
