Winning option:Miss Philippines The 2013 Miss World pageant has been won by Miss Philippines, Megan Young, on the Indonesian island of Bali.

US-born Ms Young, 23, beat 126 other contestants and pledged to be "the best Miss World ever".

Background

Miss World Organisation has revealed the top ten contestants of its Beach Fashion round, one of the most anticipated contests of the pageant.

The finalists were chosen after the contestants took part in a poolside demonstration of 125 ways to tie a sarong; as reported earlier, this year’s contestants did not have to wear bikini for the beach beauty round. They sported rather a more conventional Balinese sarong and blouse.
