Background

Strauss-Kahn, 62, is charged with chasing a hotel employee down the hall of his posh New York hotel suite on Saturday and sexually assaulting her. He is preparing to defend himself against charges of attempted rape, unlawful imprisonment, forcible touching, and sexual abuse.

Long before he ended up on the front pages of the tabloids, Strauss-Kahn was well-known to followers of global financial news. The University of Paris-educated economist has headed the IMF for the duration of the current global financial crisis.

The arrest of Strauss-Kahn triggered intense political chatter across the Atlantic. In France, it delivered what the Paris newspaper Le Figaro called a "thunderclap" to the presidential race. And some at the headquarters of Strauss-Kahn's Socialist party were in tears Monday after the news.

Changed the suspend date to make it clear that this waits for a verdict in the "state" trial against DSK. The suspend date will be prolonged if necessary. For events like this it is possible that the Market is still open when it can be settled. I intend to use the precise time the news broke to cut off "betting after the fact".

the case is this: the issue will go to court. the court will find him either guilty, or not guilty of attempted rape. or, for whatever reason, the court will not issue a verdict. these are the options.
the suspend date of this market will be changed to meet this conclusion.

I don't understand the "no verdict" option, if this settles on announcement of the verdict by the court. If it settles on the date of suspension the initial odds are off, because the process probably won't even start in the next several months.
